Metagenics UltraClear Sustain® provided
as a powdered beverage mix, is a medical food designed to nutritionally support
parents with functional gastrointestinal problems. Metagenics UltraClear Sustain® is
formulated with a specially processed high amylose rice flour augmented with
essential amino acids to increase the biological
value of the protein. The Metagenics
UltraClear Sustain protein concentrate is blended with high molecular
weight rice dextrins as the carbohydrate source and medium-chain triglycerides
as a source of readily absorbed and metabolized lipids. It is fortified with
nutrients such as zinc picolinate, L-glutamine, and pantothenic acid to nutritionally
support gastrointestinal
mucosa integrity.
Metagenics UltraClear Sustain®
also contains fructooligosaccharides (FOS), a non-digestible carbohydrate which helps promote the proliferation
of favorable bacteria such as bifidobacteria in the digestive tract, and a purified form of inulin from chicory.
Inulin and FOS are converted in the body by colonic bacteria to short-chain fatty acids which in turn provide nourishment
for the cells of the colonic mucosa.

Warning: Excess
Vitamin A intake may be toxic and may increase the risk of birth defects. Pregnant women and women who may become
pregnant should not exceed 5,000 IU total per day of pre-formed Vitamin A (Retinyl palmitate).
Caution: UltraClear
Sustain has not been tested in pregnant or breast-feeding women, or in studies with children and, therefore, cannot
be recommended for use with these patients.
Recommendations:
Blend, shake or briskly stir 2 level scoops into 8 ounces of chilled water or juice.
